Obituary

Joan Ingram Jasnoch, age 79 of Oshkosh, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2001 at her home surrounded by her family. Joan was born September 24, 1931 at Cozad, Nebraska the daughter of Charles and Della Mae (Belford) Ingram. Joan was a School Teacher and worked as a telephone operator following her graduation from the Ogallala High School. She married Edwin Jasnoch on May 2, 1950 at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Ogallala. Later in her life Joan attended college in Sidney. She was very good at figures and developed a business plan for one of her classes that was used as a model for others. She had been a supervisor at Medec and was always involved with the family farm and ranch operation by keeping the books, banking, selling grain and providing meals and transportation between fields. She became proficient with computer programs including accounting and payroll for her son's trucking business. In recent years she worked at Kwik Stop and the S & S. She loved keeping up with the goings on of her customers and friends. Joan was known for her open invitation at the dinner table. No matter how much or how little food there was, there were always extras at the table sharing good humored conversation and a warm meal. She enjoyed yard and garden work, going to her grandkids sports activities and playing pitch. She loved going to the green houses in the spring and watching birds around the feeders outside her windows. Joan was a long time member of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Oshkosh.Survivors include:Children, Michaeline (Dave) Crowder of Lewellen, NE Beth Jasnoch of Kearney, NE Jack (Marilou) Jasnoch of Omaha, NE Chuck (Kathy) Jasnoch of Presho, SD Mark (Deb) Jasnoch of Gordon, NE Jeri (Tony) Schultheiss of Eustis, NE Chris (Jonna) Jasnoch of Oshkosh, NE Jill (Mike) Loshonkohl of Eustis, NE Grandchildren, JoLynn (Steve) McCasland of Yuma, CO Jennifer Polk of Hall, MT Jeremy Polk of Gillette, WY Alan Crowder of Longmont, CO Erin Crowder of Washington, DC Melodie (Tracy) Bellamy of Kearney, NE Jesse (Kira) Jasnoch of Omaha, NE Shannon Jasnoch (Russell Allen) of Soda Springs, ID Joel Jasnoch (Tina Mieth) of Ravenna, NE Nick Jasnoch of Ravenna, NE Braxton (Shana) Merrihew of Grand Island, NE KC (Brandy) Merrihew of North Platte, NE Trista (Thomas) Koch of Eustis, NE Tara Schultheiss of Eustis, NE Jacey Schultheiss of Eustis, NE BrieAnna Jasnoch of Kearney, NE Dustin Jasnoch of Kearney, NE Emilee, Rylee and Josie Loshonkohl of Eustis, NE Great Grandchildren, Britney, Megan and Lindsay Casados of Casper, WY Hunter, Chandler and Madison Polk of Gillette, WY Braxton, Drayden, Mallory and Aadison Bellamy of Kearney, McKenna and Jackson Jasnoch of Omaha, NE Carter Jasnoch of Kearney, NE Kenna, Tainee and Naela Merrihew of Grand Island, NE Charleigh Merrihew of North Platte, NE Ellaray and Traevyn Koch of Eustis, NE She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Irma Ingram and Betha Klapp; one brother, Eugene Ingram; a grandson, Kelly Joel Turner; and her husband Edwin Jasnoch.
