Windy Prairie Systems offers three types of Cemetery
Directories for individual cemeteries’ needs, which can be customized by
structures also built by Windy Prairie. Structures are constructed with durable
materials, are weather resistant and provide easy access for handicapped
persons. Windy Prairie will look at cemetery records, create a list of people
and map the cemetery plots to allow visitors to easily find their friends and
family. The three general categories of Cemetery Directories are:
-
Stationary Directories: Stationary Directories, or Flat Board Panel Displays,
are enclosed, viewable from one or two sides and are good for cemeteries with a
small population, rural cemeteries or those without access to electricity. They
are housed in attractive, durable casements or can be placed in existing
structures.
-
Electric or Mechanical Directories: The Electric Directories with Rotating
Cylinder Displays use electronic eyes to move
directory columns to easily search through larger
directories. Mechanical Directories with Rotating
Cylinder
Displays use hand control knobs to move directory
columns and are good solutions for cemeteries with a larger cemetery population
than can be displayed by the stationary directories; Mechanical models also do
not require electricity but are more expandable than the flat-board display or
stationary models.
-
Digital TouchScreen Directories:
The Computer TouchScreen Directories digital models are the most advanced,
expandable and dynamic directories. These directories are run from a computer,
housed in the directory structure, and use a flat-panel touch screen to navigate
through the cemetery’s directory. Digital models also offer custom memorials
from family or friends that can be viewed from the directory.
Windy Prairie’s structures protect directories from the
elements and can add visual enhancements to the cemetery or memorial park. See
examples of Windy Prairie customized structures and ornamental cemetery signs in
our image gallery.
